In this tutorial Simulation embankment and excavation on saturate soil in Abaqus has been investigated. Two dimensional space to model ground and embankment as shell part is used. Because of humidity , in property modulus permeability constant ,elasticity,and Colomb plasticity has been implanted.You can see a schematic of position at below
GEostatic step is used to model equilibrium between soil element, after that three soil step is used to model three stage of embankment construction and after that soil transient step as first consolidation step is applied. after consolidation again three step as excavation step and one soil transient step as consolidation step is used . Body force is applied to all part in the proper step for each members and GEOSTRESS for dry and saturate soil are consider separately as elevation from the center of coordinate
