In this video Simulation block joist analysis under bending load in Abaqus has been studied. Concrete slab is modeled as three dimensional part with elasticity and concrete damage plasticity as property.To view tensile damage during analysis Tensile Damage behavior has used. Beads are modeled as three dimensional wire part with elastic plastic steel material .Yo can see schematic at below figure

Static general is appropriate for this type of analysis.Embedded region constraint is used for the section of beam inside concrete steel. Pressure load is applied to the surfaces of concrete slab and during analysis the bending is obvious and tensile damage is clear. You can see some figures of this simulation at below
