Simulation rigid body rotation model for predicting a response of soil-filled wall subjected to blast in Abaqus

In this tutorial Simulation rigid body rotation model for predicting a response of soil-filled wall subjected to blast in Abaqus has been done.Steel tank is modeled as a three dimensional shell part, domain is modeled as Eulerian part and soil as a solid part inside the domain. You can see a figure of the assembled part at below

Mohr-Coulomb model is used for soil to model its behavior under the blast load. The steel tank material is modeled as elastic-plastic with damage parameter. The dynamic explicit procedure and general contact algorithm are used. The proper boundary condition is assigned to tank and domain. Conwep air blast load procedure is used to model external pressure on the tank wall. To model eulerian material volume fraction method is used to specify the amount and location of soil inside the tank. By using a fine mesh for soil and domain the proper results can be achievable.

When the blast wave arrived to the tank wall, the tank experienced a huge deformation and this deformation causes stress and deformation on the soil and soil throw out the tank. You can see some figures of the results at below

You can provide CAE ,INP,and English video files of this simulation here. The cost of these files is Twenty-Eight Euros. you can click on the bellow bottom to beginning process
